sat on the couch in silence, with her legs pressed up against her chest and her chin resting on her knees. Every once in awhile, she'd glance at the diamond ring on her finger. tried to remind herself of happy times, but it just wasn't that easy.
A few seconds later, jiggling of the doorknob and keys going into the lock, walked in through the front door with a big smile on his face.
"Hey," he greeted. "Rehearsals went awesome today! We're gonna celebrate by recording at 's, but I'm gonna get cleaned up first," said with excitement in his voice.
didn't move or say a word. She sat there, staring blankly and listening to rant about his wonderful day.
"Oh! I nearly forgot," said , walking over to the couch and kissing on the head.
noticed how quiet she had been since he walked in, not realizing had been quiet for 2 hours straight before that.
"What's up?" asked cautiously. "Is something wrong?" He started to worry.
"Well, we've been married for 3 months now. Our honeymoon was short due to this big tour McFly are going on in a month, and we've hardly spent any time together since then," explained sadly. "Yeah, I'd say something is wrong," she added.
"Aw, come on. You knew I was in the band before we said our vows. You knew my hectic schedule as well," said , taking a seat beside his wife.
"Yeah, but I didn't know that getting married would mean I'd be all alone," said as she raised her voice a little.
"Shush... you don't have to shout," said calmly. "What do you mean you're all alone?"
"Hmm. Well, if you were home more often you would know. , I sit at home day and night all by myself while you go play with the band. Now, I'm not trying to be mean. I love , and as much as you do. But, I'm lonely...and bored here all by myself," explained with sad eyes.
titled his head sympathetically. "I understand, but the band... we need it if we want to buy a house and start a family, and put food on the table. I can't just give up on it," he said.
"I know that, and I respect that. It's just, I didn't know that you'd be away so much. You're never here spending time with me. And I know that sounds selfish, but I miss you," said as she glanced down at her hands.
"I've spent time. Last night, actually," stated.
"See, that's what I'm saying, . You're never here. And when you are, you're not there. It's all about the band," said, raising her voice in anger once again. She got up from the couch and went into the kitchen.
"What are you talking about? It's not all about the band," said with a confused look on his face.
"Yes it is. You didn't go to bed last night 'til four in the morning, as you were writing lyrics and melodies for a new McFly song. You barely said a word to me before then," put her hands on her hips.
"I talked to you," defended.
"Really? What did you say, then?" raised her eyebrow curiously.
"I don't know. I don't remember," half-shouted as he threw his arms up.
"See, that's my point. You're not really in this marriage. Not mentally, anyway," said, crossing her arms.
"Alright then. I'll change," said.
"It's not that simple, . You can't just change like that," said as she snapped her fingers.
"Why not?" looked at her eagerly.
let out a heavy sigh. "You can be so stupid sometimes," she said softly. "I should've listened to my mum when she said you were too bloody busy to get married right now," walked towards the bedroom.
"Oh, here we go again with the bloody mum crap," rolled his eyes.
"Well, my mum was right, but I argued with her in your defense. You're no different then the rest of them," said firmly.
"This fuckin' marriage was a big mistake," shouted, regretting it the moment it rolled off his tongue.
's eyes suddenly turned red as they filled with tears. There was a painful knot in her stomach now, and her heart shattered into a million pieces. How could he say such a thing? What was wrong with him? didn't know what to think. All that crossed her mind was, "did he mean it?" He must have, to have said it so easily like that.
swallowed the lump in his throat before grabbing his keys and jacket and leaving the apartment. watched him walk out and didn't even bother to go after him. She couldn't move and she could barely breathe. Actually, she wasn't sure what had just happened between them. It was still trying to process through her mind.
let out a deep breath and then broke down in tears, sobbing with her head in her hands.

"I'm coming!" shouted as he headed for the door. He swung it open to see his best friend, , looking distraught and out of breath.
"I said something horrible to ," said in between gasps for air.
"What do you mean?" Asked .
"We got into this massive fight about me never being home enough and I told her... I told our marriage was a mistake," explained, his heart breaking all over again.
looked shocked. "You actually told her that?" He questioned, in disbelief.
"Yeah," said disappointingly.
"Why?" asked lamely.
"I don't know," whined, dropping down on his friend's couch.
"Why are you here, then? You should be with her... apologizing and making it up to her," said as he sat on the couch as well.
"If you could've seen her face..." 's voice trailed off, "You would've left as well," he finished.
smiled sympathetically. He didn't know what to say and was afraid of saying the wrong thing.
"I'm so stupid! Why would I say something so horrible to the girl of my dreams?" grabbed his head and slightly pulled on his hair. "She's my wife. I'm supposed to protect her and make her feel safe, and tell her everything's going to be all right. Instead, I tell her we were a mistake. That she's a mistake," he continued to beat himself up.
"It's already been done. No use beating yourself up over it now. Just go tell her you're sorry and that you love her," continued, "I know you love her loads and you didn't mean what you said. If she loves you as much as I think she does, she'll forgive you," he patted on the back.
gave his band mate a thin smile.

It took 5 hours to pluck up the courage to return home. When he walked in the door, it was so quiet and so dark that he figured (and hoped) was asleep in their bed. He was a little nervous, afraid that she might've left and went to stay with her mum.
tip-toed and quietly turned on the living room light, then proceeding to head for the bedroom. Enough light from the living room filled the bedroom for him to see lying on the bed. She appeared to be sleeping.
continued to be as quiet as possible and walked over to kneeling down on the floor beside her. He brought the flower he was hiding behind his back to 's lips, softly swaying it back and forth. She opened her eyes and jerked her head slightly, unsure of what was touching her.
"Hi," whispered.
"Hi," whispered in return.
"I'm so sorry," began, "I didn't mean what I said earlier. We are not a mistake. You are not a mistake. Marrying you was the happiest day of my life, and I don't know why I would say it was a mistake."
sat up from her pillow with tears falling from her eyes, even had some tears welling up in his eyes as well.
"Can you forgive me?" asked hopefully.
nodded. "Of course I can forgive you," she said wrapping her arms around and pulling him into a hug.
When they pulled away from each other, sat on the edge of the bed and held the flower out in front of them. It was her favorite, a .
"This is for you," he smiled.
"Thank you," said, smiling. She looked at him with this deep gaze that proved how much she really loved him.
"I love you," said.
"I love you, too."
took the flower from 's grip and leaned in to give him a quick kiss on the lips. It wasn't enough for , so he pulled her in close and gave her a long, soft kiss.
THE END.
